Our Story

Wheat Millers & Grinders Pty Ltd is a family-run business that has proudly served the South African market since 1998. Founded by George Savides Snr., the company began as a dedicated flour milling plant, focusing on providing high-quality, locally milled flour. With a passion for quality and a vision for growth, we have evolved over the years to become a leading name in both flour milling and pasta manufacturing.

Expansion into Pasta Manufacturing

In 2000, George's son, Terry Savides, graduated from the University of Johannesburg (formerly known as Rand Afrikaans University - RAU) with a degree in B.Comm Economic and Logistic Management. Terry joined forces with his father, bringing fresh ideas and a strategic outlook. By 2007, recognizing an opportunity to diversify and expand, Wheat Millers & Grinders branched out into the manufacturing of dry pasta, utilizing their expertise in flour to produce premium pasta products. This move allowed us to provide a more comprehensive range of food products to our growing customer base.
